The round 2 BTOP award will benefit North Carolina by adding more than 1400 miles of fiber to rural counties in need of broadband services. The full award is for $75.5 million dollars that is complemented by a Golden LEAF Foundation award of $24 million to fulfill the matching funds requirement for the grant.
