Asheville, NC (August 2, 2012) -- The FCC is reforming the Universal Service Fund (USF) into the Connect America Fund to focus on broadband. This is a recognition that broadband has become a necessity for American families. The goal is to expand high speed Internet to millions of consumers across the country. Raleigh, NC (April 27, 2012) - MCNC announced today that the first round of the Golden LEAF Rural Broadband Initiative (GLRBI) is complete.
