Mayland Community College
This program began in the Fall of 2002 with the primary objective of retraining displaced workers for today's technology-driven job market. The program is administered through Blue Ridge Community College's Flat Rock campus and is funded through the Department of Labor. The lab is equipped with ten PCs for student use, an instructor's work station, an LCD projector, printers, a scanner and digital camera. |
AAM Computer Literacy Program
The AAM Computer Literacy Program at UNCA targets middle school students and is conducted during the summer each year. The program began in 2001 and uses the American Memory archives of the Library of Congress to teach students about immigration, maps and quilts and also equip them with computer skills. |
